By no means am I suggesting we give up on the team so don’t take it that way. In fact, I am thrilled with CMY to this point. However these are simply observations from the cheap seats.

This should have been (be) our best team in his tenure. He had said that himself. Some even had us making a run in the tourney.

But Wake completely dominated us in all phases of the game. Bigger, more aggressive, etc. We have no mid range game. It’s either a three or a layup. Alleyne is the only one that shoots 10-15 foot shots, and when he’s off, we aren’t good.

The tape is out on how to beat us. Will we be able to adapt? We have a limited bench. When we play a bigger team, we can’t run our offense. Our defense in the paint is horrible.

This is my first “red flag” game of Young’s tenure. We were dominated by a middling ACC team that we were favored by double digits.

How we respond, and how CMY adapts from here, will define our direction. At this point, we are an NIT team. Let’s hope we can regroup.
